…By taking the choice away from people? I’m sorry but why not do what most other games do and put a big warning up front the moment you start the game and continuing to give players a choice? Did anyone have a problem with the way the game worked already? I’m being serious because this seems like something that the devs themselves are making an issue out of just so they can look good while addressing a self-manufactured problem. I think that most if not all of the ideas are good but games that limit the hardware they support or the play-styles they support can afford to have more interesting mechanics. Complex interactions like two-handed weapons wouldn't work for one-armed players so the idea was left on the cutting room floor. Being able to drop your weapons is awkward on the Vive wands and doesn't work well with seated gameplay so they made a simpler weapon selection system and welded weapons to the motion controllers. Storing weapons on your belt doesn't work well with WMR headsets that have two forward-facing cameras or with seated gameplay so it was a non-starter.
